Focus Areas
Immunize Colorado works with health care providers, public health departments, businesses, policy makers, and community organizations to fulfill our mission. By focusing on six focus areas – coalition building, community outreach, provider education, data translation, free and low-cost immunization partnerships, and public policy – the coalition leverages the strengths and resources of our community partners to maximize the effectiveness of our efforts.
Public Policy
Immunize Colorado's public policy agenda engages our coalition partners, policy makers and vaccine advocates to identify and advance solutions to challenges in Colorado's vaccine financing, access and delivery systems.
Provider Education
Each year, Immunize Colorado educates more than one thousand health care professionals in person and online through expert-led educational sessions on pertinent immunization clinical guidelines, data, and emerging research.
Free and Low-Cost Vaccines
Immunize Colorado believes that no one should miss out on the benefits of vaccination due to inability to pay. Immunize Colorado leads local and statewide efforts to reduce families' financial and other barriers to accessing life-saving vaccinations, including partnerships to host free and low-cost community immunization clinics.
Community Outreach and Awareness
Immunize Colorado's community outreach efforts, including the award-winning ImmunizeForGood.com and VacunalosporSuBien.com campaigns, build awareness among health care providers, parents, the media and the general public about the safety and importance of immunization.
Coalition Building
Immunize Colorado's coalition-building and engagement strategies leverage the collective voice of diverse public health partners to strengthen our ability to provide exceptional systems-level support, infrastructure and resources for immunization activities in Colorado.
Data Translation and Action
Immunize Colorado spearheads strategic partnerships to advance utilization of local and national immunization data to support improvements in data quality and access. Through these efforts, Immunize Colorado translates immunization data into actionable resources for stakeholders and community members.
