The Honorable Susan Lontine grew up in Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Journalism. She worked in the fields of advertising and retail management before moving into advocacy and public policy. She moved to Colorado in 1996 with her family and has lived in Southwest Denver since 1998. She began her career in the State General Assembly working in the office of Representative Jeanne Labuda before moving on to serve as Chief of Staff for State Senator Irene Aguilar. In 2014, Rep. Lontine was elected State Representative for House District 1 where she served January 2015 – January 2023. She chaired the House Health and Insurance Committee from January 2019 – January 2023. Her role as Chair gave her the opportunity to develop relationships with Colorado parents, healthcare professionals, public health officials, business leaders, and school and community members. These vital relationships along with skills in strategic planning, advocacy, and project management will strengthen Immunize Colorado’s priorities in vaccine policy, education, access, and community outreach ensuring that all Coloradans are fully immunized. With a proven commitment to improving the health of Coloradans, Rep. Lontine is very excited to bring her skills to Immunize Colorado.
