Emily has served in communications roles for Immunize Colorado since September 2017. She graduated from the University of Denver with B.A.s in Strategic Communication and Socio-Legal Studies. She serves as the organization’s Communications Director and works to guide the strategy for all Immunize Colorado communications and community outreach initiatives in line with the organization’s mission. Emily has always had a passion for helping young people and creating environments in which they can thrive. With her dedication to public policy, public health, social justice, and purposeful communication, she works to foster community engagement and awareness for the safety and efficacy of vaccines through science-based, pro-vaccine messaging. Emily has presented on vaccine communication strategies and campaigns at local and national conferences. In 2021, Emily received the 35 Under 35 award from the Delta Zeta National Sorority, which recognizes outstanding young professionals who have achieved success by making a significant impact in their industry before the age of 35. In her free time, you can find Emily travelling, spending time with family and friends and finding new, delicious spots to eat around Denver.
