Darla Stuart holds a BA in Urban Studies with a concentration in Community Service Development. After being blessed to serve 30 years at the same nonprofit, she retired as its Executive Director in June 2022. After entering retirement, she started a small training business with her sister, and became a remote volunteer DJ for a weekly music show in Unalaska (Dutch Harbor), AK. While cherishing these new ventures, she missed the camaraderie of supporting a nonprofit mission with like-minded people. Inspired by friends who served in AmeriCorps VISTA and the Peace Corps, she sought a meaningful cause to support and a team to join. In February 2024, Darla began serving in the Colorado Immunity Corps at Tepeyac Community Health Center in Denver. Their mission of providing healthcare through evidence-based practices and cultural humility, while supporting people regardless of their ability to pay, resonated deeply with her.
