Follow Vaccine Legislation
Effective public policy is one of the best ways to ensure all Coloradans are fully immunized. Below are summaries of legislation that has been passed in an effort to protect Colorado's immunization infrastructure and increase immunization rates to protect our communities.
Vaccine Legislation in Colorado
Speak Up for Strong Vaccine Policy
Even when bills aren't actively being considered in the Colorado legislature, you can still speak up in support of science-based immunization policy by contacting your Colorado state representatives.
You can adapt the following message text in your outreach:
Dear <Representative/Senator Name>,
I am a pro-vaccine Coloradan and one of the 79% of people in our state who support pro-science vaccine legislation to protect our communities. Vaccines are one of the greatest achievements in public health, preventing 4-5 million deaths each year worldwide and averting $400 million in hospitalization charges in Colorado alone. Now more than ever it is critical that we improve our vaccination rates and protect our kids and our communities from preventable diseases. I urge you to stand with science and the majority of Colorado parents when making decisions that impact our state's immunization systems in the Colorado legislature. Thank you for all you do to serve our state.
ā
Sincerely,
<your name>
<your zip code>
Immunize Colorado Policy Committee
We welcome and encourage anyone who supports advancing Colorado's health through immunization, with the exception of pharmaceutical and vaccine distribution company employees or consultants, to serve on the Policy Committee. You donāt need to be a health expert to participate.
